Single competitions...
CHOOSING A FOURSOME
- Each competition’s entries will consist of four golfers participating in that weekend’s professional golf tournament. Substitute golfers may be selected as decided by the league commissioner and will be used as noted in (4) below.
- Each participating golfer will be assigned a salary. The foursome selected must fall within the commissioner’s chosen salary limit which will be noted on the submission page.
- Commissioners may choose to ensure entries are unique and that no submission of four starting golfers is the same as any other submitted foursome. In this case, if you submit a duplicate foursome to one that has already been submitted, your submission will not be saved and you must change your entry. Commissioners may also choose to allow only one entry allowed per team. If events only permit single entries, submissions after a user’s first submission will not be captured.
- In the case a starting golfer withdraws from the tournament prior to teeing off in the second round, selected substitutes will be used. Substitutes will replace the starting golfer ONLY for rounds in which that golfer has not played any holes (i.e. if a golfer withdraws 4 holes into the first round, they will only be subbed from round 2 on…). Subs will only replace single golfers, and if more starting golfers withdraw than substitutes available, no replacement will be made beyond the number of substitutes. Golfers who withdraw after teeing off for round 2 (or in rounds 3 or 4) will not be replaced.
Scoring
- Participants will compete in a best-ball format, where each user’s score on any given hole is the lowest score of the golfers in that rounds foursome.
- Golfers who have withdrawn from the event or are cut in later rounds will not count towards scoring, unless replaced by a substitute as noted above.
- Participants will rank from lowest total score to highest.
- Ties are broken by live golfer scoring position, so that if multiple participants are at any time tied, the player with the professional golfer placing highest will break the tie. In the event the tied foursomes highest ranked golfer is the same or tied with an equal placing professional golfer, the second highest placing golfers in each foursome will be considered, followed by the third and fourth.
