THE GREATEST
FANTASY FORMAT EVER
A SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE BASED COMPETITION
TLDR;
Major Tradition pools allow managers to display their skill and knowledge of championship golf at the highest level. Most simply, managers compete by submitting a foursome of professional golfers to face off in a ‘best ball’ format against foursomes submitted by other managers.
HOW TO PLAY
There are three (3) ways to compete. The first option is to purchase your own Golf Club on The Circuit. As the licensed owner of a Club, you’ll have the opportunity to invite Members, compete against those in your Clubhouse, and faceoff against other Clubs on The Circuit all season long.
Your second option is to participate as an invited member of another Owner’s Club. While you lose the perks of ownership, you’ll still enjoy stiff competition within your Club and against other Clubs across the nation. If you’d like to participate but are not invited by a Club, you can compete on The Circuit as a Single. Singles will be placed in a Club of other Singles, and Compete as any other Circuit Club.
The third way to play is to simply create or participate in an individual pool. These pools are Off-Circuit for any eligible PGA event. We’d love for you to take advantage of our world-class fantasy golf format, free to all.
MANAGING YOUR FOURSOME
You will choose four (4) professional golfers participating in the weekend’s professional golf tournament. Every participating golfer will be assigned a salary. The sum of salaries for the four (4) golfers selected must fall within the total given salary cap for your event. In addition, you will choose one (1) alternate golfer to be used as substitute as described below.
For Circuit events, there will only be one entry allowed per Club Member/Manager and each golfer may only be used once per foursome. Golfers may be chosen again in the next tournament.
If any of your four (4) golfers withdraw for any reason prior to teeing off in Round 2, your chosen chosen alternate will replace the withdrawn golfer. Alternates will only replace withdrawn golfers for rounds not yet begun (i.e. – if your golfer withdraws after 4 holes of Round 1, you will not receive scores from your alternate for Holes 5-18 of Round 1). After your alternate enters the competition, no additional replacements will be made. Any golfer who withdraws after teeing off for Round 2 will not be replaced.
SCORING
Club Member/Manager’s foursomes compete in a best ball format. In this format, the lowest score of your four (4) golfers on each individual hole is used to calculate your 18-hole score.
Golfers who have withdrawn from the event or are cut after Round 2 will not count towards subsequent scoring following their removal from the tournament. An alternate, however, may replace a withdrawn golfer only as noted above.
Each Club Member/Manager will be ranked from lowest score to highest score on a given leaderboard.
Ties are broken by chosen golfers’ scores-to-par: the foursome with the golfer having the lowest individual score-to-par will win any tiebreak. In the event the tied foursomes’ lowest-scoring golfers have the same score-to-par (or is in fact the same golfer), the second lowest golfer in each foursome will be used as the next tie-break, followed by the third and fourth.
In the event of a playoff, extra holes will NOT be considered in ANY way.
